Lighthouse
When the waves are high
Darkness fills the sky
And there is no solid ground
When your ship is tossed
And all your hope is lost
Take another look aroundYou’ll see a star burning bright
Like a beacon in the night
He’ll be your guide through the storm
Like a lighthouse on the shoreWhen you’re in distress
And there is no rest
There are no friends to be found
When you fall behind
And there is no sign
Take another look aroundYou’ll see a star burning bright
Like a beacon in the night
He’ll be your guide through the storm
Like a lighthouse on the shorePut your trust in Him
Open up your eyes
Focus just on Him
Jesus is the light

You’ll see a star burning bright
Like a beacon in the night
He’ll be your guide through the storm
Like a lighthouse on the shore…

Backing Down
No more right or wrong, no black or white
Giving in to compromise
A clouding over ’til there’s no more light
Trading in the truth for lies

When the questions come where will we be found?
Standing up or backing down? From the broken pulpit false prophets preach
Entertaining easy words
There’s no courage in the compromise they seek
All the lines become a blur

When the trial comes where will we be found?
Standing up or backing down?
Standing up or backing down?

Where are the flocks that you keep?
My sheep are scattered with no one to seek

The ground we’ve chosen cannot handle the load
Building temples on the sand
Our convictions, our foundations erode
When we fail to make a stand

So when the wind blows where will we be found?
Standing up or backing down?
Standing up or backing down?
I won’t back down…

More Than It Seems
When there is darkness all around
I see You
Even when there’s not a sound
I hear You

More than it seems
More than anyone on the outside could ever know
You are supreme
There are no words I can sing to let it show

When I’m away and all alone
I’m with You
I only have the life You own
To give You

More than it seems
More than anyone on the outside could ever know
You are supreme
There are no words I can sing to let it show

Father I know You’re always there
To Speak to
And when there’s a trial I can’t bear
I’ll seek You

More than it seems
More than anyone on the outside could ever know
You are supreme
There are no words I can sing to let it show…

Across The Water
If this is a dream
And you are a dreamer
Then you wake from the numb
And you know you’ve become a believer

There is a time
And there is a season
People hoping to find
Just a hint or a sign or a reason

A beautiful star
Who’s countenance pleased us
Promised we could acquire
All the things we desired and deceived us

But there is hope
For the children of Eden
Our Lord bridged the divide
When He came and he died for our freedom

It’s not a dream
And you are not dreaming
Knowing this is designed
By the one who’s divine, and believing

And then it starts
The bow is bending
Babylon and the beast
Now are joined in a feast, then a rending

But there are some
Across the water
Looking in at the ball
Never dancing at all with the daughter

The dragon is loosed
For the insurrection
At the end of the age
There’s a moment of rage and deception

The fire consumes
The unsuspecting
Now the judgement is come
Some are burning and some resurrecting

Why Don't You Call
Living in this town
Sure can wear you down
It’s getting harder to pretend

People pass you by
Never catch your eye
Everybody needs a friend

Hold out your hand
Don’t be too proud
Look to the sky
And cry out loud

He calmed the storm
He stopped the waves
He called to Lazarus and drew him from the grave

He felt you
When He bore the shame
He took it all ’til only God’s love could remain

Was there once the day
When this was miles away
And you were closer than found?

Or was it just a dream?
Harder than it seems
To get your feet back on the ground

Why don’t you call
Call on His name
You have a friend
And He knows your pain

He calmed the storm
He stopped the waves
He called to Lazarus and drew him from the grave

He felt you
When He bore the shame
He took it all ’til only God’s love could remain

Living in this town
Sure can wear you down

Right Before Your Eyes
Most of my life not being close to you
I waited far too long
The trouble and the strife, what is a man to do
When it goes so wrong?

I wandered hopelessly and aimlessly
So far from home

I was running blind
Doing nothing right
When all of the time there was no disguise
I was right before Your eyes

Giving up control, this feeling is new
I am not alone
And now my soul is laid bare for You
Everything is shown

I put it all out for Your eyes to see
Before Your throne

All that’s inside
Nothing left to hide
My greed and my pride and all that You despise
I am right before Your eyes

How do I cross the canyon?
Where is the line?
How do I bridge the chasm between Your heart and mine?

There was no hope off being close to You
How could I belong?
No way to cope with all I’d have to do
After so much wrong

But then You took my guilt away from me
and now I’m coming home

You paid the price
With a sacrifice
Gave away Your life and now I realize
I am right before Your eyes

A Rainy Day
We all know seasons come and go
Here today, then the wind blows them away
A rainy day is falling down on me
A rainy day is falling down on me
A rainy day is falling down on me

Even though all things ebb and flow
What do you say when the tide rolls them away?
A rainy day is falling down on me
A rainy day is falling down on me
A rainy day is falling down on me

I wish I could have you back
I wish I could have you back
I wish I could have you back for one more day
A rainy day is falling down on me

Lord I know You’ll help me find my way
Hold me closer and wipe my tears away
A rainy day is falling down on me
A rainy day is falling down on me
A rainy day is falling down on me

Father I’m on my knees
You know that I believe
Jesus be near to me and hear me pray
A rainy day is falling down on me

We all know seasons come and go
Here today, then the wind blows them away

My God Rules
Okay this day I put my fear way
No more playing it cool
Turn around Homeward bound I’m not gonna run aground
In a ship of fools
Gonna keep His Spirit in me
Shining through

My God rules!
My God rules!

Price paid change made no more need to be afraid
All we need is the word
No more doubt with a shout gotta get the message out
And make the gospel heard
We’ve been sent to bring the good news
To the world

My God rules!
My God rules!

Every tribe every nation and tongue shall hear
The time is near
When all the world shall see
That my God Rules

He’s got the power
He’s in control of every minute every hour
He’s given me direction now
Adrenaline pumping Bible thumping I know there’s a purpose for me
New ambition on a mission for the kingdom and the glory

Do or die banner high can you hear the battle cry?
It’s a victors’ song
Glory be I can see we’re marching on to victory
Gospel armour on
With the shield, the sword, the breastplate
Fear is gone!

My God rules!
My God rules!

Empty Vessel
May I be an empty vessel
Washed of guilt and stain
Take this clay pot in Your hands
And mould me once again
For every day or noble use
What e’er Thy will may be
May I be an empty vessel
Fill me

Overflow my cup oh Lord
With Your living water sweet
Quench my thirst
Renew me with Your Holy Spirit Deep
Fill me to the brim once more
And Your vessel will I be
Overflow my cup oh Lord
And pour me

Pour Your Spirit out from me
Wherever there is need
Let me harvest, let me water
Let me sow the seed
For nothing that I do
Compares to what you did for me
When You poured out Your life
‘Til You were empty

Empty me now and fill me up
Fill me up Lord and pour me round
Pour me round Lord, empty me now
Your Spirit in, Your Spirit out

Empty me now and fill me up
Fill me up Lord and pour me round
Pour me round Lord, empty me now
Your Spirit in, Your Spirit out

May I be an empty vessel
Ready to be filled
With Your love, Your holiness
Your Peace, Your Grace, Your Will
Only to be used by You
However that may be
May I be an empty vessel
Fill me
May I be an empty vessel
Fill me

The Kingdom Come
They tell you not to worry
We’ll be taken up in a hurry
Oh no
Oh no
Do they know?
Do they really know?

With the abomination
Of all desolation
On the throne
Oh no
Will you know?
Will you know?

You ask me if it’s near
There’ll come a time when everything is clear

Looking for an explanation
A timely destination
Oh no
Oh no
No one knows
No one knows

What’s the future what’s the history?
What was what is and will be?
Oh no
Oh no
They don’t know
What do they know?

You ask me if it’s near
There’ll come a time when everything is clear
When that song is sung
You’ll know the mystery of the Kingdom come

Every age and every nation
Has a cause for expectation
Even so
Even so
You never know
You never know

You ask me if it’s near
There’ll come a time when everything is clear
When that song is sung
You’ll know the mystery of the Kingdom come

Hard To Say Goodbye
I had an older brother so I know how it feels
He’s with the Lord now I know his faith was real
Sometimes I wonder if he’s watching over me
And if he is, is he proud of who he sees

Some people say God’s children shouldn’t feel the pain
That we should understand we’ll see our friends again
But I know how the angels felt after the last words Jesus said
The sky grew dark, the land shook from the tears that they shed
And though I know my brother was in the Lord on the day he died
My eyes grew dark and my hands shook as I stood by his side
And I may say I have no fear and I don’t ask God why
But it can still be hard to say goodbye

Now you’ve lost a dear friend you loved more than you knew
You never know until they’re gone how much they mean to you
There’s an empty feeling and an aching in your heart
That’s how it feels when friends are pulled apart

I guess by now you know believers feel the pain
Don’t be afraid to let it show and don’t you be ashamed
For you know how the angels felt after the last words Jesus said
The sky grew dark, the land shook from the tears that they shed
And though you know the one you loved was by our Father’s side
Your eyes grew dark and your hands shook as you broke down and cried
And you may say you have no fear and you don’t ask God why
But it can still be hard to say goodbye

When the tears start to flow you know it isn’t wrong
Just remember Jesus wept when Lazarus was gone
and if you think I’m over it because years have passed you’re wrong
God is still the only reason I can carry on
Now you must carry on

With God’s blessing I’ll grow old but some day life will end
And when it does I know I’ll have to part with you my friend
Sometimes when I think about the day I say goodbye
To all the ones I love it makes me want to cry

Some people say that Christians shouldn’t feel the pain
That we should understand we’ll see our friends again
But I will know how Jesus felt and how it must have weighed a tonne
When he said John behold your mum and mum behold your son
And if you’re there I’ll say these words on the day I’m set free
I hope my friendship meant as much as yours has meant to me
And I may say that I won’t fear and I won’t ask God why
But it will still be hard to say goodbye
Yes it will still be hard to say goodbye

My Love
My Love she’s like a rose
I know she knows about my love
Speaking without a word
Have you heard about my love?

Bowing our heads together
There will be sunshine whatever the weather with my love

My heart is only hers
The only girl who gets my love
She greets me with a smile
And all the while I love my love

Sharing the blessings together
We said I do and I will do forever with my love

Bowing our heads together
There will be sunshine whatever the weather
We are sharing the blessings of heaven
We said I do and I will do forever with my love

My Love she’s like a rose
I know she knows about my love
Speaking without a word
Have you heard about my love?

Bowing our heads together
There will be sunshine whatever the weather
We are sharing the blessings of heaven
We said I do and I will do forever with my love

Holding You
When the night falls heavily
And I’m lying silently in my room
Lord I know I’ve never been
anyone who’s every made it easy for You

But I hope You hear me pray
and I long to hear You say

I died for you
And I’m holding you
Yes I’m holding you
Come what may

When the morning rolls around
Lord I hope I will be found waking with You
Won’t You come into my heart
And I’ll make another start everything new

Please hear me pray
And lift me up and say

I died for you
And I’m holding you
Yes I’m holding you
Every day

When I’m old and weary
And I’m Lying frailly on my bed
Even though I’ve never been
Anyone who’s ever been easily lead

Lord I know You’ll help me pray
And you’ll take my hand and say

Well I died for you
And I’m holding you
Yes I’m holding you
This day

Because I died for you
I am holding you
Yes I’m holding you
This day

I died for you

Who Is This Child? (The Donkey Song)
I’m not the wisest of donkeys
But I work really hard for my hay
I carry and pull and my burden is full
Then I rest at the end of the day
I rest at the end of the day

But who is this child in my manger?
And where are the oats for my feed?
It’s all well and good that they care for a stranger
But even a donkey has needs
Even a donkey has needs

Now someone has let in the shepherds
I hope they’re not staying all night
To be at my best you know I need my rest
And I wish they would turn out the light
Why is this room so bright?

And who is this child in my manger?
Where are the oats for my feed?
It’s all well and good that they care for a stranger
But even a donkey has needs
This little donkey has needs

As the evening continued
The ox shared his manger with me
I’d eaten my fill and the baby was still
So I moved a little closer to see
I looked down and what did I see?

But a beautiful child in a manger
If you were there you would agree
And as I was watching the dear little stranger
Looked up and smiled at me
He looked up and smiled at me

Now we donkeys are’t known for our wisdom
I thought as I furrowed my brow
But I tried to explain to the ox on the chain
This baby was different somehow
This baby was different somehow

So who is this child in my manger?
And does he have oats for his feed?
They said when he grows he will rescue the stranger
And care for a people in need
And care for the people in need

Then wise men appeared bearing gifts
And I’ve never seen such a thing
They bowed down to pray and I heard them say
This child is really a king
This child is really the king

So I’ll worship the child in my manger
I’ll give him my oats and my seed
I’ll bray and bow down to the dear little stranger
Who came for a people in need
Who came for a donkey in need
And when the child grows he will rescue the stranger
And care for a people in need
And care for this donkey in need
